We’ve been using HALO Swaddles for over 4 years so I promise, they’re amazing! Here’s my full HALO SleepSack Swaddle review with pros and cons! HALO SleepSack Swaddle Review

He’s created the HALO SleepSlack: the Original Wearable Blanket, the Bassinest (review on that here!) and more.īill also launched the HAL O Safer Way to Sleep Hospital Modeling Program which provides free HALO SleepSack wearable blankets, training and educational tools to help hospitals educate parents about safe sleep. This loss lead Bill to create HALO and to do what he could to create a safe sleep environment for babies. SIDS stands for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome which is the sudden, unexplained death of a seemingly healthy infant up to the age of one year. HALO’s founder, Bill Schmid and his wife lost their daughter to SIDS. If you’re new to swaddles or just interested in the Halo SleepSack Swaddle, keep reading! We finally got a cotton HALO SleepSack Swaddle with our 3rd to use year round and it quickly rose to the top as our absolute favorite swaddle! They’re our go to during colder months but for hot summer days or nights we don’t like to do swaddles that are so thick and warm. Our hospital actually gives us a fleece Halo Swaddle after our babies are born so we have quite the collection of those. When it comes to the type of swaddle sacks, we’ve used 3 different types of swaddles – the SwaddleMe, the Ollie Swaddle and our absolute favorite – HALO SleepSack Swaddle! We’ve tried both styles but much preferred the swaddle sacks over the blankets to keep our life a little bit easier! There’s a lot to learn when it comes to newborns, I’ll take easy when I can!

HALO SLEEP SACK HOW TO
For blankets you need to learn how to swaddle your baby yourself (and how to keep them secure!) while the swaddle sacks or pouches help guide you along with Velcros, snaps and zippers to make things much easier. There are 2 main types of swaddles – a traditional swaddling blanket and a swaddling sack or pouch. But with so many options, how do you know which one is right for you and your baby?

I’m trying to spread the word to help other Mom’s especially “natural”-minded ones.Swaddles are a mom’s best friend. They’re especially great for people who heat with wood stoves or who have drafty homes. He was fine but she decided to start the line. The woman who makes them has 9 children and made them when her youngest got tangled in a blanket. PLEASE please do a feature on Milk and Honey sacks.

The other great thing is that it “contains” little ones when they start to get out of bed ie it’s hard for them to figure out how to get out of their sleep sack on their own. My daughter has worn it from when she was 10 lbs to now (3 years). I am not affiliated with the company at all either and am posting a comment because it took me SO LONG to find a good, non polyester filled sleep sack, As far as I know, this is the only one out there. They are all natural, filled with down so they BREATHE meaning that little ones do not overheat. The Milk and Honey sleep sacks are awesome!!!! By far, the best on the market.
